Deden is a very friendly and patient driver. He showed us around Bintan with good food suggestions, and kindly waited for us whenever we overrun our activities. Our first experience with VBI and certainly not the last. Smooth communication and arrangement with Mr Teguh and his team. I had a wonderful time and experience in Tanjung Pinang / Bintan and my guide Derry been such a marvellous guy ! He’s so so awesome, patience, professional and on time person and not once I heard him complaining! I would recommend anyone coming here to look out for Derry he will look after you trust me :) The snorkeling was definitely top of the icing. For once, I didn’t book through Klook, and it paid off. I inquired with Visit Bintan Island late at night right before our Bintan getaway, and got a response within minutes confirming availability. The next day, we were assigned our driver, Deden, via WhatsApp to coordinate the itinerary. Deden speaks decent English and quickly put us at ease, making easy conversation as we headed to our first stop. Over the course of the day, he shared insights about Bintan and offered thoughtful recommendations on the itinerary and sequencing. He even accommodated a last-minute stop at a cafe for a pastry takeaway before we wrapped up, even though we exceeded the originally allotted time, with no extra charge. He drove safely and smoothly throughout, including at night in less developed areas where lighting is poor. Doesn’t even need to use the GPS! There’s little to fault in the experience.
