Do I Need Visa to Get in Bintan Island?

Do I Need Visa to Get In Bintan Island?

Many travelers ask, do I need a Visa to get in Bintan Island? The answer is yes, you do need a Visa to get in Bintan, Indonesia, unless you are from one of the Southeast Asian (ASEAN) countries or a country on the Visa Exemption Arrangement (VEA) list. Otherwise, you are allowed to enter Bintan Island and apply for a Visa on Arrival (VOA) online prior to arrival if you are on the VOA approved countries list.

An excellent alternative to the VOA is the Single Entry Visa (B211A) which is valid for 60 days and can be renewed twice for a total stay of 180 days. After that, you can apply again while still in Bintan for another possible 180-day stay.

Visa Exemption Arrangements (VEA)

If you are from one of the lucky 9 Southeast Asian (Asean) countries with Visa Exemption Arrangement, you do not need a Visa to enter Bintan Island. The visa is only valid for 30 days, and unlike VOA or B211A, it cannot be extended and is for tourist purposes only. ASEAN COUNTRIES and MORE.
